Role of Engineering Directorate
Engineering Directorate ensures proper maintenance of marine engineering and electrical equipments used in Coast Guard. Plan for refit & docking schedule and scheduled maintenance of ships, crafts and pontoons. Planning and preparation of schedule and collection of marine engineering and electrical equipments also looked after by this directorate. To verify the bills produced by yards, organizations and firms and payment through Logistics Directorate. This directorate also suggest Operations Directorate technical aspects of NBCD matters.
